🚨 Exciting Rugby News! 🚨
Wales might soon see a shakeup in its coaching line-up! Leicester Tigers’ skills and kicking coach, Alex Davies, is the top contender for the new kicking coach role. The search is due to Leigh Halfpenny returning to Cardiff after briefly filling in for the Nations Championship.
Davies isn’t just a coaching pro; he’s got playing chops too, having been a scrum-half and outside-half for London Welsh and Bath. Bringing his experience with England Women and the Netherlands, he could be the perfect fit to enhance the kicking game of Welsh talents like Dan Edwards, Sam Costelow and Jarrod Evans.
Steve Tandy, leading the charge for this new Welsh era, has been methodically building his backroom team. With Peter Murchie as the recent addition for defence, and Paul James nailing down the scrum coaching, Davies could be the piece de resistance the team needs.
With roles for a kicking coach, scrum coach, and attacking skills coach advertised, the aim is to have a stellar coaching squad ready as the Nations Championship kicks off this autumn.
Stay tuned for more updates on this potential game-changing appointment! 🏉✨
