Police deployed an extensive search, including dogs, drones, and a helicopter, to find a woman hiding in a hospital ceiling! Georgia Wilshire vanished after asking to go to the loo while at Morriston Hospital. She had been arrested for threatening her sister with a needle and managed to give officers the slip.

The story began last December when Georgia demanded money for drugs from her sister in Pontardawe. The situation escalated with threats involving a syringe and a kitchen knife. Police arrived, collected evidence, and arrested her. But at the hospital, her frequent bathroom visits turned suspicious, and she vanished!

A 40-officer search team eventually found her in a crawl space above the hospital bathrooms. Georgia apologised, claiming she just wanted to collect her “gear.” The court heard of her long struggle with heroin addiction and her strained relationship with her sister, with whom she shared a home. They plan to sell it, and Georgia hopes to move to Essex.
Judge Catherine Richards, noting the burden on police resources, handed Georgia a 23-month sentence. She’ll spend a portion in custody before serving the rest in the community. Additionally, a two-year restraining order prevents contact with her sister, except through solicitors. As she left the courtroom, Georgia called out to someone named Jordan, telling them she loves them.
It’s a real-life drama involving family tensions, addiction struggles, and an unexpected hospital hide-and-seek, all culminating in a courtroom showdown. What a wild journey!
