The site boasts a spacious 24,729 sq ft area along the River Usk and a 220-space car park. Developers Starburst (UK) Ltd are asking Newport Council to approve plans that would see this former Orb steelworks office revamped into a modern events hub. The vision includes a large hall, meeting areas, breakout rooms, and a catering kitchen.

With indoor events planned until 11pm on weekdays and midnight at weekends, it could become a buzzing hotspot for all your celebrations. Asbri, the planning agent, believes the venue is set to meet a growing demand for modern event spaces, bringing positive employment, leisure, business, and social opportunities to the community.

And just to think, despite being on the market for over a year after the Orb steelworks closed, there were no takers for the building as an office. But now, it has a chance for an exciting new chapter!
