A family is heartbroken after the tragic loss of Damian Langley, who passed away while returning from a memorable holiday in Thailand. Damian, 47, was known for his fun-loving spirit and infectious laughter, always bringing joy to those around him. His sister, Nicola, received the devastating news that Damian had become seriously ill during his journey back to the UK. Despite medical attention at Qatar airport, he succumbed to pancreatitis and organ failure on April 23.

Described as caring and generous, Damian lived to make others laugh, often sharing his last pound and offering a fresh perspective on life’s challenges. Friends fondly remember his mischievous side and his devotion to his beloved dog, Jackson, whom he affectionately called “nightmare”. His sudden passing has left an indescribable void, not only in his family’s life but also within his community.
The Langley family now faces a significant financial challenge, needing approximately £11,000 to repatriate Damian’s body as he hadn’t purchased travel insurance for his trip. A fundraising campaign, organised by Damian’s friend Melissa Newman, aims to ease this burden and help give Damian the send-off he deserves.

Melissa shared, “Dame was larger than life, brightening every room he entered. We want to ensure he’s brought home, allowing us to say our goodbyes properly.”

If you’d like to support Damian’s family during this difficult time, consider contributing to the fund. Every little bit helps bring Dame back home and celebrates the life of a man who lived for laughter and love.
