Heartbreak in Barry as a devoted husband and father, Kamran Aman, 38, tragically lost his life in a shocking incident. He was delivering shopping to his mum’s house when he was brutally attacked by two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, who have since been found guilty of his murder.

The horrendous crime unfolded just past midnight on June 30, when Kamran, described as a loving family man, was fatally stabbed in the chest without any provocation. The teenagers, who had been drinking excessively, initiated the attack after one of them bizarrely focused his rage on Kamran who was simply returning to his car.

In a harrowing trial at Cardiff Crown Court, footage revealed the extent of the aggression shown by these young offenders. The 16-year-old initiated the altercation, followed by the 17-year-old who returned with a kitchen knife. Kamran, outnumbered and attacked, sustained a fatal blow to his heart. Despite the efforts of concerned neighbours and emergency services, Kamran tragically succumbed to his injuries.

The court heard the 16-year-old had attempted to grab a hammer but was stopped by a woman at the scene. Instead, he unleashed his fury on Kamran after spotting him near his vehicle, leading to a tragic sequence of events that no one could have predicted.
Both teenagers have been handed a life sentence, with more details on their sentencing to come later. The community is left in shock and mourning the loss of a life taken too soon. Our thoughts remain with Kamran’s family during this unimaginably difficult time.
This case highlights the unpredictable nature of senseless violence and serves as a sombre reminder of life’s fragility. Stay safe, look out for one another, and let Kamran’s tragic story be a beacon for positive change in our communities.
