🏃✨ Barry 10k: A Day to Remember! 🌟
What a fantastic day it was at the Barry 10k, with thousands of runners and spectators lighting up the atmosphere! Starting from Whitmore Bay to Romilly Park, the energy was infectious. More than 4,700 runners took part, challenging themselves across the beautiful coastal course.
Big shoutout to Charlotte Taylor from Bristol & West AC, who set a new women’s course record with an impressive time of 33:08! And congrats to Jon Butler of Swansea Harriers, clinching the men’s race title with a fantastic time of 30:23. Not to forget Ron Price, who won the wheelchair event—hats off to you!
The event was buzzing with excitement, with spectators lining the streets, cheering on their loved ones, and even a stormtrooper joining in the fun 👾. Sunshine, music, and supportive crowds made it a memorable day. Plus, our hearts go out to the amazing team from Cancer Research Wales, who showed incredible spirit!
From fancy dress costumes to toddler dashes and family fun runs, Barry 10k truly had something for everyone. The community spirit was unmatched, and there were smiles and high-fives all around. Thanks to all the organisers, volunteers, and sponsors for making this day possible!
