🏉 Exciting Rugby News! 🏉
Huw Bevan, a top figure in Welsh rugby, is making a big move! After spearheading several key roles with the Welsh Rugby Union since 2023, Bevan will take on a thrilling new challenge with Leicester Tigers as their new Head of Rugby Operations this December.
From Cardiff to Ospreys, the Dragons, and even USA Rugby, Bevan’s rugby journey is nothing short of impressive. He’s also made waves in cricket, having worked with Glamorgan and the England and Wales Cricket Board. With such a rich history in sports, his new appointment at Leicester Tigers marks yet another milestone.
Huw shared, “Joining Leicester Tigers is a brilliant opportunity. There are few positions that could entice me away from Wales, but this is one of those clubs with a storied rugby tradition. I’m eager to contribute to their ongoing success.”
WRU’s Dave Reddin expressed gratitude for Huw’s impactful contributions, stating, “During his time with us, Huw has truly made a mark across various leadership roles, enhancing our approach to the performance game in Wales.”
Leicester Tigers are thrilled too! Head Coach Geoff Parling is enthusiastic about what’s to come, “We’re building strong foundations for the future with our academies, and getting someone of Huw’s calibre is key.”
CEO Andrea Pinchen added, “Huw brings immense knowledge and experience that will propel our men’s, women’s, and academy programmes forward.”
Wishing Huw all the best as he embarks on this exciting new chapter with Leicester! 🐯
