A stunning visit to Caernarfon turned terrifying for Leon Williams when he was attacked by two dogs while out for a scenic walk. Leon, a 59-year-old dance teacher from Kent, was enjoying the breathtaking views from Twthill when things took a frightening turn.

Out of nowhere, the dogs came at him—with one latching onto his left leg behind the knee and the smaller one going for his right leg. Leon kept his wits about him, focusing on protecting his neck while trying to fend off the dogs. The larger dog was doing the most damage, causing instant pain and leaving trails of blood.

The ordeal seemed to stretch on forever, but eventually Leon managed to break free and dashed for safety. “Then I just ran and ran,” he recalled. Once the adrenaline rush began to wear off, he made his way back, hobbling to his hotel where staff quickly called for help.
After receiving treatment for his injuries at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Leon took to social media to share his story—seeking not sympathy, but a chance to raise awareness and prevent anyone else from experiencing the same nightmare. Though he’s healing physically, the mental scars remain.
Leon has decided to press charges against the owner of the dogs, stressing that this mustn’t happen to anyone else. “Caernarfon is beautiful, and I will return,” he shared. “But I’ve had to cancel all my classes for now, and the experience has left a mark.”
Let’s all stay safe and look out for each other! 🐾❤️🩹
