Thankfully, two quick-thinking fellow hikers sprang into action. Equipped with first aid skills, they bandaged his head and helped him partway down the mountain to where his worried spouse was waiting. But with the risk of further injury on the tricky terrain, Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Team was called in to help!

🏔️ After carefully assessing the situation, the rescue team decided that getting a stretcher down the mountain could cause more harm than good. So, a call was made for backup from the Coastguard Rescue helicopter, which was quickly on the scene to airlift him to safety. He was rushed to Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital in Bangor where further scans showed an unstable fracture to his L3 vertebrae.

Moel Hebog, standing tall at 2,569ft, offers breathtaking views and is a beloved destination for hikers. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety and preparedness when exploring the great outdoors. Wishing the injured hiker a swift recovery! 🌟
