🐾 Unbelievable rescue on Ben Nevis! 🐾
A daring adventure turned dramatic when Tokyo, a black Labrador, suffered suspected cannabis poisoning while hiking with her owner, Christina Bluhme, from Surrey. As they navigated the breathtaking trails of the UK’s highest peak, the unexpected happened – Tokyo collapsed!
But fear not, the incredible Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team quickly came to their aid, expertly stretchered Tokyo on a journey back down from the towering 4,413ft (1,345m) height, all the way to a local vet.
Thanks to their swift response and the care at Crown Vets, Tokyo is now back on her paws and wagging her tail happily again. Christina expressed her heartfelt gratitude, “Thank you, Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team. Without your support, I would never have been able to get Tokyo safely down from the mountain. Your kindness, professionalism, and compassion saved the day!”
The rescue team confirmed, “Following a request to assist a collapsed dog on Sunday, we’re pleased to confirm that Tokyo has made a full recovery, having been cared for at Crown Vets!”
