🚨 Anti-social Behaviour Strikes Abandoned Swansea Landmark 🚨

An old Swansea gem has again found itself in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. The derelict Swansea Boys’ Club, overlooking the city from the edge of Mayhill, was once a bustling hub of activity with vibrant sports teams and a lively community spirit. Sadly, it now plays host to less savoury activities.

Recently, a group of five individuals was caught entering the dangerous, rundown site, causing trouble inside. South Wales Police, alerted by vigilant locals, were quick to respond. The local police officers identified the youths involved and issued anti-social behaviour referrals, ensuring their parents were informed of the mischief.
The club’s long decline began after its closure in the 1990s, with a significant fire on Bonfire Night 2020, which left its structural integrity severely compromised following the roof’s collapse. Now, plans are underway to secure the building and prevent further incidents or harm to the community.
While this abandoned site may seem intriguing, it serves as a reminder of the broad impacts of anti-social behaviour, which includes everything from vandalism to environmental damage. Let’s all do our bit to protect and preserve the community spaces around us. Keep safe, stay vigilant, and cherish our city’s landmarks! 🌆
