🏉 **Wales v France: Record Low Attendance for Six Nations** 🏉

The clash between Wales and France at the Principality Stadium has set an unexpected record—the lowest-ever crowd for a Six Nations match in Cardiff. With only 57,744 fans turning up, thousands of seats remained empty in the 72,500-capacity stadium. The previous low at this venue was 58,349 against Italy back in 2002.

Despite passionate fans filling the streets of Cardiff with excitement, slow ticket sales were evident well before kick-off. Reports suggested around 15,000 tickets were still available less than 48 hours before the match. Former Welsh international Sam Warburton remarked that the sight of empty seats could feel “a bit deflating” for the players. Meanwhile, presenter Gabby Logan couldn’t help but notice the sparse attendance.
Unfortunately for Wales, the lacklustre turnout was not the only disappointment of the day, as they suffered a 54-12 defeat to France. This trend of low attendance threatens potential financial implications for the Welsh Rugby Union, with fears that future home games might draw crowds below 60,000, impacting revenue significantly.
Let’s hope for a stronger turnout and performance as Wales looks ahead to its next matches! 🏴🙌
