A festive night took a serious turn at The Broad Oak pub in Connah’s Quay this Christmas Eve. A young man in his 20s ended up with severe injuries after an alleged assault, prompting a police investigation. North Wales Police confirmed the incident occurred around 7:30 pm on December 24th.
One individual has already been arrested and is in police custody as the investigation unfolds. Officers are on the lookout for anyone who might have witnessed the event or heard anything that could help piece together what happened.
