After a visit to his grandfather turned into a surprise parking ticket, Osama launched an appeal but faced rejection after rejection. Determined, he took his fight to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal.
Photos showed the road markings were nearly invisible, and despite the council’s claims of clear signage, no evidence was provided. The tribunal ruled in Osama’s favour, lifting the fine due to insufficient evidence proving the restriction was clear.
Osama is thrilled by the outcome but hopes the council will fix the markings to prevent this from happening again. “I might continue parking there until they sort it,” he cheekily remarked.
Swansea Council stated they aim to ensure proper road signage and markings, promising to take steps to prevent further issues and maintain safe parking practices.
