🌊 Big cheers from the Cardiff community! After what felt like ages, Pentwyn Leisure Centre’s swimming pool is back and ready for a splash! Closed since March 2020, the pandemic left the centre’s doors shut, but not forever! 🏊♂️
Local families and campaigners have been longing for this moment, and their perseverance has paid off. The new 25m pool comes with all the bells and whistles – adaptable floors, a fun slide, and a family-focused play area. Perfect for summer fun in the sun! 🌞
Rhian Vernall, a key figure in the campaign, shares her excitement but also reminds us to keep an eye on affordability so everyone can dive in without breaking the bank. With the cost of living concerns, let’s hope special incentives come our way! 💸
Pentwyn’s not just getting a sparkling pool; there are more upgrades coming. Think new gym spaces and dedicated fitness studios—all aimed at boosting community health and happiness! 💪
As new memories are set to be made, some nostalgia remains for the old pool. Yet, the community spirit is vibrant, and everyone’s hoping for years of joy and exercise. Time for the little ones, who can’t even remember the old pool, to make a splash in the new! 🏊♀️💦
If you’re local, you might see a familiar face or two, or maybe meet someone who fondly recalls working there back in the day. It’s not just about a pool, it’s about community pride and coming together after all these years. 🎉
Dive in, Pentwyn – your patience and passion have beautifully paid off! 🌟
