🚨 Beware of Scammers! 🚨

An elderly lady in Cardiff fell victim to a heartless scammer who pretended to be a police officer. Cleonest Massera, 21, convinced the woman she was involved in a scam and told her he would safeguard her valuables. Posing as a police courier, he collected £20,000 in cash, jewellery, and bank cards from her home, warning her not to tell anyone or face arrest. Fortunately, her family was alerted, and Massera was swiftly arrested.

He was found guilty of fraud by false representation at Cardiff Crown Court and sentenced to 32 months in jail. 🎓 Kudos to Detective Constable Joseph Davies, who emphasized the importance of staying vigilant against such fraudsters, especially for our vulnerable loved ones.
