📣 Exciting News for Welshpool! 📣
We’re thrilled to share that Welshpool Town Council is launching a new ‘pay what you can’ parking scheme to boost our lovely town centre! 🚗💷
Starting this Easter on Saturday, 4th April, you can park at Church Street car park every Saturday till 26th September without worrying about set fees. Instead, if you’re feeling generous, you’re welcome to make a voluntary contribution to support this fantastic initiative. 🌟
This 26-week trial aims to make Welshpool more inviting, encourage more visitors, and support local businesses. It builds on the success of last Christmas’s free parking trial, which saw a wave of increased shoppers and an electric atmosphere in town. 🛍️✨
Local traders have reported more customers, longer visits, and a vibrant community vibe during previous trials. The council will keep an eye on how things go, gathering feedback and visitor impressions to decide if the scheme will continue or need tweaking.
So, mark your calendars and make the most of this initiative! Look out for info signs near the machines or visit the Welshpool Town Council’s website for more details. Let’s make every Saturday a special, bustling day in Welshpool! 🗓️❤️
