A shocking case has surfaced in North Wales where Detective Constable Lee Harshey-Jones, aged 45, has been charged with multiple offences, including upskirting two young girls in Colwyn Bay. Currently suspended from duty, Harshey-Jones appeared before Chester Crown Court, accused of using equipment to capture illicit images without consent.

The charges also involve alleged attempts to pervert the course of justice and the improper use of police powers. This incident reportedly took place on 11th June, and the detective was arrested the same day. Following a court hearing, he’s been released on conditional bail, with a provisional trial date set for August 2027.

The investigation continues, but no pleas have been entered at this stage. This has sent shockwaves through the community, especially given Harshey-Jones’ previous role as a lead investigator on high-profile cases.
