🚨 Big change coming to your ITV1 weekend viewing! 🚨
This week’s highly anticipated race meeting at Haydock Park has been cancelled, leaving ITV1 with a sudden schedule gap. Set for Friday and Saturday, the event was scrapped after an inspection revealed the inner track wasn’t fit for racing.
Last week’s drama at Haydock saw Friendly Soul, with jockey Oisin Murphy, narrowly avoid disaster when a hidden hole appeared on the outer track during Saturday’s races. Since then, attempts to switch races to the inner track have now led to overuse and the unfortunate cancellation of this week’s events.
In response, organisers have apologised to all involved, promising to work on rescheduling and resolving the course issues. Specialists are already on-site to get to the bottom of what went wrong with the outer track.
While ITV won’t be broadcasting the planned five races, keep an eye out for updates on when and how these events might be brought back on track. 🐎
Stay tuned for more announcements, and fingers crossed for a swift return to racing action! 🏇💨
