🚀 Jeremiah Azu: Sprinting with Spirit! 🚀

Cardiff’s very own Jeremiah Azu showed the world what he’s made of at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow! Despite the challenging wet conditions, Azu sprinted to a fifth-place finish in the fiercely competitive men’s 100m final, clocking in at a remarkable 10.03 seconds. 🌧️🏃♂️

The 25-year-old sprinter may have missed out on a medal, but his spirits remain high. “I aimed for a medal, so it’s a bit disappointing, but the race was positive. I did my best, and that’s all you can ask for,” Azu shared with a smile. 🌟

This event was just one stop on Jeremiah’s incredible journey, and he’s not slowing down! Next on his radar is the European Championships in Birmingham, where he’s eager to challenge for a spot on the podium on home soil. Representing Great Britain, Azu will not only race individually but also join the 4x100m relay team, bringing his passion and drive to the track once again. 🇬🇧🏅
Azu’s passion shines brightest when he dons the red vest of Wales, but he’s ready to give it his all for Great Britain. “Representing Wales is a privilege, but wearing the GB vest is a huge honour. This is what it’s all about,” he stated, filled with enthusiasm and determination.
With his eyes set on European glory, all of us back home are cheering you on, Jeremiah! Smash it in Birmingham! 🏆💪
