Exciting news for Wales! From today, tens of thousands of workers will see a pay boost thanks to new measures announced by the UK Government. Good news for your wallet, right? 🎉

Here’s what you need to know:

✨ The National Living Wage is rising to £12.71 – that’s an extra £900 a year!
✨ The National Minimum Wage is going up to £10.85, putting an additional £1,500 in the pockets of young workers.
These changes will benefit up to 170,000 workers across Wales. But that’s not all – energy bills are also set to drop by an average of £117 annually across the UK! 📉 This reduction is locked in through to the end of June, offering relief to countless households.
This comes alongside an extended cut in fuel duty and a generous £53 million to support households most affected by heating oil hikes. Plus, many families have benefitted from the £150 Warm Home Discount this winter.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer emphasised a commitment to fighting the cost-of-living squeeze, stating: “Millions will see their wages rise and energy costs fall. We’re here to support you.”
The government’s focus is on easing everyday pressures while navigating global uncertainties.
For our friends in Wales, this means more money in your pocket and a bit of breathing room on those looming bills. Stay informed and make the most of these changes! 💰💪
