A brave police officer is recovering in hospital after a shocking incident in Tonyrefail. On Sunday, December 14th, while on the hunt for a wanted person, the officer was struck by a car. The impact left them with multiple fractures, and they’re currently receiving treatment.
Following this incident, two men have been charged. Justin Evans, 29, from Tonyrefail, faces charges including causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent to resist arrest, driving without insurance, and not complying with a driving licence. Meanwhile, Jordan Park, 28, from Gilfach Goch, has similarly been charged with causing GBH with intent, driving whilst disqualified, and driving without insurance.
