🚨 **Shocking Vandalism at Swansea Church** 🚨

Last November, Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Townhill, Swansea, was hit by a disgraceful act of vandalism. A Nazi swastika, the words “Keep out,” and a Z symbol linked to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine were scrawled on its walls. This beloved church, a community staple on major local routes, was marred overnight, sparking anger and disappointment across the city.
The graffiti was swiftly covered up, but the outrage remained. Swansea Council’s Labour leader didn’t hold back, labeling it “deplorable” and insisting that racism and fascism must be confronted directly. Swansea West’s MP, Torsten Bell, echoed these sentiments, assuring the culprits that their hateful actions do not reflect the spirit of Swansea.

🔍 Despite launching an investigation, police haven’t identified those responsible. Officers engaged extensively with the church and the surrounding community, and so far, there hasn’t been a repeat of such incidents.

South Wales Police have closed the case for now but remain vigilant, in touch with the church, and open to new leads.
Let’s stand unified against hate. Swansea, Wales, and the entire UK must remain strong in the face of such vile acts. Love and inclusion will always have the last word. 💔✊
