🚗🩸 Calling all new drivers! There’s an exciting new way to make a difference while getting your driving licence. The DVLA is teaming up with NHS Blood and Transplant to encourage budding motorists to consider becoming blood donors. When you apply for your licence, you’ll receive a simple link inviting you to register as a blood donor. It only takes a moment, and you could be a lifesaver!

Why is this important? Right now, over half of the UK’s regular donors are aged over 45, which is why reaching younger generations is crucial to ensure we have enough blood for those in need. Imagine, at 17, you’re not only gearing up for the freedom of the road but also starting a journey of making lifesaving contributions!

Tim Moss from the DVLA said it’s an honour to support this initiative and help younger people step forward as blood donors. Altaf Kazi from NHS Blood and Transplant highlights how this partnership is a fantastic chance to engage young people who have a lifetime of helping others ahead of them.

Ready to help? You can start donating at 17 and it doesn’t take long – just an hour of your time could save up to three lives. 🌟 Let’s drive forward change and roll up our sleeves together. Book your first appointment and become a hero today! 🦸♂️🦸♀️
