🚨 Champions League Buzz: Draw Reveals Tough Matches for English Clubs! 🚨
The Champions League last-16 is setting up to be an absolute thriller! As the knockout stage beckons, English teams have landed some challenging opponents. Newcastle is bracing for a tough battle against either Chelsea or Barcelona. Given their rare success against Chelsea away since 2012 and a previous tumble to Barcelona, the Magpies need to bring their A-game.
Liverpool and Spurs are also facing a nail-biting scenario. They might clash with Atletico or Galatasaray. Atletico, who’s triumphed over Liverpool before in the 2019/20 campaign, just secured their spot with a solid win against Club Brugge. Meanwhile, Galatasaray, who earlier sent Juventus packing, isn’t an easier path as Liverpool already knows.
Here’s the current match-up potential:
– Arsenal or Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen or Atalanta
– Liverpool or Tottenham vs Atletico Madrid or Galatasaray
– Chelsea or Barcelona vs Newcastle or PSG
– Man City or Sporting CP vs Bodo/Glimt or Real Madrid
Friday’s draw will confirm the final line-up for the last-16, so mark your calendars! 🗓️ Will English clubs make it through these tricky encounters? Share your thoughts below! ⚽🔥
