In a touching tribute to a young girl taken too soon, the Pembrokeshire community came together to celebrate the life of Honey Foxx French. Just a year ago, Honey, described as a “force of nature” by her mum Jessica, passed away suddenly at just 12 years old. This weekend marked what would have been her 13th birthday, and the community honoured her memory with an incredible event dubbed “Honey’s Big Birthday Bake Off.”

The bake sale, hosted by generous residents April and Alan Warlow, saw an overwhelming response. Initially planning to sell just 100 boxes of cupcakes, they ended up with a staggering 400 orders, raising an impressive £7,115 for the Wales Air Ambulance—an organisation that rushed to assist on the day Honey passed.

Jessica shared heartwarming memories of her daughter, recalling her cheeky laugh and boundless energy: “Honey was always destined to make a difference in this world. She filled every room with joy and laughter, and even if her jokes were cheeky, you couldn’t help but laugh.”
Friends, family, and even strangers pulled together to ensure every cake was baked and delivered on time, working into the early hours of the morning. The outpouring of love and support turned an emotional day into a celebration of Honey’s life and her caring spirit.
“This is all for Honey,” said Jessica, overwhelmed by the community’s support. “Her loving nature is what motivated us to support the incredible team at the Wales Air Ambulance.”
Honey’s school, Ysgol Penrhyn Dewi VA, also paid tribute, remembering her as a valued student full of talent and humour. Honey may be gone, but her spirit and the love she inspired will not be forgotten. 🌼🐝💛
