Just minutes before the race, Eden’s tyre gave out, pausing the starting gun for a bit. But, proving she’s made of tough stuff, Eden got back on track quickly and finished with an unofficial time of 1:30:51, clinching the victory in the women’s wheelchair race by over two minutes! 🏆
Eden has been on a roll, with a big win at the Boston Marathon last month, marking her first Boston triumph. Reflecting on her Boston victory, she shared how it demanded every ounce of her strength, calling it a “mentally tough challenge.”
Despite a setback at the Paralympics last year, where she competed in the 1500m, 5000m, and marathon, Eden’s determination clearly shines through. She’s made great strides since starting marathons just two years ago, also securing a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games and winning the Great North Run in 2022. 🇬🇧🎖️
