🎉 Exciting News for Cardiff! 🎉

Ramen lovers, get ready to slurp your way to happiness because the much-loved Japanese-inspired restaurant, Tonkutso, is opening its first Welsh location this spring! 🌸🍜

What started as a pop-up run by friends Ken Yamada and Emma Reynolds in London has blossomed into a ramen sensation. After making waves with 15 sites in London and locations in Brighton, Bristol, and Birmingham, they’re bringing their flavoursome dishes to the heart of Cardiff’s city centre on St Mary Street, right next to Temple Bar.
Tonkutso fans can’t get enough of their rich, hearty noodle soups and extravagant menu featuring vegan, chicken, prawn, and pork ramens, along with noodle salads, katsu curry, and gyozas. And let’s not forget the lip-smacking sides like edamame, kimchi, chicken wings, and more! 🍜🥟
They’ve been making their own noodles fresh every day because, as they say, “If you don’t make your own noodles, you’re just a soup shop.” 🍜💪
With their Cardiff spot set to be their 20th restaurant, it’s clear Tonkutso is a sensation you NEED to experience. Their co-founders couldn’t be more thrilled: “We’re delighted to join such a vibrant food scene and deeply honoured to open in this iconic city.”
Mark your calendars for March, and stay tuned for the exact opening date! This is one foodie adventure you won’t want to miss. Who’s excited for some steaming bowls of ramen goodness in Cardiff? 🙌❤️
