🎯 Darts sensation Luke Littler, the world number one, has opted out of attending this year’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards. Despite being nominated for both the main and young sports personality categories, the 18-year-old isn’t planning on turning up. 🤷♂️

Littler, fresh from defending his world title against Lithuania’s Darius Labanauskas, thinks his friend, Formula One champ Lando Norris, has the top award in the bag. “I’m not going to it,” says Littler, making it clear he’s sitting this one out. His remarkable season saw him scoop six major PDC titles, but he admits a total clean sweep might earn him the BBC accolade next time. 🏆
While Littler won’t be there, he predicts that big names like Rory McIlroy, Norris, and Chloe Kelly will grace the ceremony, with Hannah Hampton and Ellie Kildunne possibly following his lead and staying home. 🤔
