Exciting times ahead for Anglesey! Property developer Tom Edgar is set to transform the iconic Hotel Cymyran with an impressive £8m project. Expect a stunning makeover as it turns into a hub of wellness and activity. Plans include a “wild” outdoor swimming pool with the purest water thanks to eco-friendly UV light treatment and reed bed filtration.

It doesn’t stop there! A new spa complex, artisan food hall, and marketplace are also on the agenda, replacing the current horse stables. What’s more, the development promises event studios and a “living hub” to celebrate local culture, community, and nature. Subject to council approval, this project is sure to bring fresh opportunities to Ynys Môn, boosting tourism and job creation.

Tom Edgar, a Gresford native with a passion for building communities, is thrilled to bring his dream to life. His idea is more than just another resort; it’s a new way to experience North Wales. The redevelopment aims to foster creativity, mental well-being, and growth in a space where the Welsh language and local excellence shine.
The hotel, which currently boasts 27 rooms and a restaurant, was listed for sale last year as the previous owners retired. Now, with fresh vision and backing from private investors and the Development Bank of Wales, the grand opening is tentatively set for 2027. And there’s even talk of hosting workers from the upcoming Wylfa project!
Tom’s not stopping here – he’s already acquired two country manor houses on Anglesey for similar transformations into wellness retreats. There’s no doubt that his passion for community-focused spaces will bring something truly special to the island. With a commitment to sustainability and creativity, Tom’s initiatives with the Feral collective are all about making a positive impact on people’s lives.
Stay tuned for what promises to be an exciting chapter for Ynys Môn! 🌿✨
