🌧️⚠️ Flooding wreaks havoc in Wales! 🌊
Severe weather is causing major disruption across the region today. The A487 in Pembrokeshire is completely shut in both directions due to flooding between Erw Lon and Welsh Road. Natural Resources Wales has issued six flood warnings and a whopping 26 alerts as the wet weather continues.
Gwynedd isn’t faring much better, with Lon Uchaf totally impassable. The rough weather is also taking its toll on local events, forcing the cancellation of Bargoed’s beloved Christmas Market. Caerphilly Council called off the market ‘due to the forecast of high winds,’ leaving many would-be festive revellers disappointed.
And it’s not just roads and markets affected—popular parkrun sessions in Swansea have also been pulled for safety reasons, much to the organisers’ dismay. 🌧️🤦♀️
