🏉 Exciting times in Welsh rugby! 🏉
Big news for Cardiff Rugby and Dragons RFC fans! Today marks a crucial deadline for Cardiff Rugby as the proposed takeover by Y11 Sports & Media faces its final decision day. This American-based group’s ambitious attempt to buy the region has kept fans on their toes since January. If the deal doesn’t pass, the WRU will continue to hold the reins at Cardiff. Head coach Corniel van Zyl reassures that despite the uncertainty, the players are focused and ready for the upcoming derby against the Ospreys. This match will be even more intriguing as Y11 also owns the Ospreys!
Meanwhile, Dragons RFC has bagged a major overseas signing! New Zealand’s Terrell Peita, a formidable back-row forward, is set to join the squad for the 2026/27 season. Known for his power and dynamic presence on the field, Peita is eager to contribute to the team and make an impact both on and off the pitch. 🎉
Peita shared his excitement about representing the Dragons, stating, “It’s a proud moment for me to join such a passionate club. I’m here not only to grow as a player but also as a person. I can’t wait to start and give my all for the jersey.” 🌟
