🚨 Transfer Alert! 🚨
Could Ethan Horvath be swapping Cardiff for The Big Apple? 🗽Rumour has it, the New York Red Bulls are closing in on a deal for Cardiff City’s goalkeeper, Ethan Horvath! The 30-year-old American international might just be heading back to the US after a productive loan at Sheffield Wednesday, where he impressed with 16 appearances. 👏
With his sights set on regular playing time and Cardiff City reportedly not standing in his way, this move could be just what Horvath needs. Following Carlos Coronel’s departure, the Red Bulls are keen to strengthen their goalkeeping options before the new MLS season kicks off. ⚽️
Ethan’s time in the UK has been remarkable, featuring in the Championship for Cardiff, Sheffield Wednesday, Luton Town, and Nottingham Forest. Not to mention his impressive run in Belgium with Club Brugge! Plus, with 10 caps for the USA under his belt, there’s no doubt about his calibre. 🇺🇸
Cardiff’s head coach, Brian Barry-Murphy, has acknowledged the interest and is supportive of Horvath’s quest for more playing time. It looks like this could be a turning point for Ethan, especially with the 2026 World Cup looming on the horizon! 🌍🏆
Stay tuned as the MLS transfer window opens on January 26th—this could be one to watch! 👀🔴⚪️
