Martin O’Reilly, a 24-year-old from Clydach, Swansea Valley, is back in court under the spotlight. Earlier this year, he was handed a suspended prison sentence for cocaine dealing and was ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid community work. But guess what? He’s only managed to clock in just two-and-a-quarter hours!

The judge didn’t mince words, stating Martin clearly “does not take court orders seriously” and warned him he’s “taking the Michael” by not fulfilling his punishment. Caught out by the Probation Service for non-attendance, Martin’s only attended 8 out of his 28 rehabilitation sessions with excuses that just don’t hold water.
The drama started last year when police searching an Airbnb in Morriston stumbled across a phone and some crack cocaine. Martin had arrived at the property using a key, leading officers to arrest him on the spot. His phone revealed months of messages related to dealing drugs.

His defence lawyer admitted Martin’s got some growing up to do but insists this court appearance might be his much-needed reality check. The judge has now deferred his sentence for 12 weeks, giving him one last chance to prove he’s committed to completing his community service. The warning? If there’s even a hint of non-compliance, he should bring a suitcase big enough for a two-year stay in prison.

What do you reckon? Should Martin be let off with another chance, or is it time he faces the music? Let us know your thoughts! 🚨👩⚖️ #JusticeInAction #CourtStories #SwanseaNews
