A drug dealer from Barry, Tommy-Lee Carson, has been ordered to repay just £440 after making more than £9,000 from selling cocaine and cannabis. The 28-year-old was caught when police uncovered an active drug-dealing phone line and raided his home in February. During the raid, they found drugs valued at over £7,000 and a fearsome “zombie knife.”

Carson admitted to a slew of charges, including supplying cocaine and cannabis, and possessing an offensive weapon. He was sentenced to 45 months in prison, though he’ll serve half that time before being released on licence. Following a Proceeds of Crime Act hearing, the court determined that Carson had assets worth only £440, which he has 28 days to pay. If he doesn’t, he faces an extra 14 days in prison.

Detective Constable Gaby Pughsley remarked on the impact of Carson’s actions on the local community, emphasising a zero-tolerance stance on drug supply in the area. This case highlights the ongoing efforts to combat organised crime and keep illegal substances off the streets. Stay updated on this and other news by following our page!
