**Obsessive Ex Crosses the Line with Terrifying Stalking**

Phillip Ashton, 42, from Swansea, has been sentenced to 30 months in prison for relentlessly stalking and threatening his ex-partner, despite being under a restraining order. The situation escalated when Ashton called her 28 times in one day and left terrifying voice messages promising violence. He even showed up at her doorstep, threatening to “snap her jaw”.

Already convicted of stalking last year, Ashton couldn’t accept the end of the relationship and allowed his anger to spiral out of control. The court heard distressing details of his threats and harassment, leaving his victim living in fear for her own safety and the safety of her dog.
While Ashton’s defence claimed his actions were driven by frustration, Judge Paul Hobson made it clear that his behaviour was inexcusable, stating that his ex shouldn’t have to live in fear.
This harrowing case reminds us of the importance of respecting boundaries and the serious consequences when they are violated. Let’s help spread awareness and support those who find themselves in similar terrifying situations. 💔
