A “mountain of rubbish” no more! 🎉 This weekend saw a massive clean-up operation on the beautiful Bwlch mountain near Treorchy. Earlier this year, tonnes of waste turned the stunning landscape into a “river of rubbish,” leaving locals appalled and wildlife at risk. But thanks to the extraordinary efforts of the Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team, the rubbish was removed, restoring the area’s natural beauty! 🌿

This operation wasn’t a piece of cake. It involved complex coordination and specialist equipment to tackle the steep hillsides. A big shout-out to everyone involved for their hard work and dedication! 👏

This isn’t the first time the mountain has fallen victim to fly-tipping, and it’s a reminder of the importance of keeping our environment clean. If you see any fly-tipping, make sure to report it!
Also, if you want to show appreciation for the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team’s incredible volunteer work, why not support their dedicated fundraising efforts? Every little helps in maintaining the beauty and safety of our beloved landscapes.
Isn’t it amazing what we can achieve when we come together for a good cause? Let’s keep Rhondda beautiful! 🌄💪
