🏃♂️🌞 Newport was buzzing with excitement as thousands of runners hit the streets for the biggest ever ABP Newport Marathon Festival! Over 10,500 participants took part under the glorious spring sun, making it a day to remember. From full marathons to 10K and junior races, it was a festival truly for everyone. 🎉

The event showcased amazing performances, with Natasha Wilson smashing the women’s half marathon course record and Samantha Antell achieving a personal best in the marathon. It was a day of shattered limits and new personal bests! 💪

Spectators lined the famously flat and fast course, offering endless cheers to support all runners, from elite athletes to first-timers chasing personal goals. A special shoutout to those in costumes—nothing like seeing a traditional Welsh outfit whizzing by! 🎽🧢

The marathon didn’t just attract athletes; it drew community groups and participants from the “100 Club” aiming to boost health and wellbeing. The local spirit was palpable with a dynamic choir singing near the international sports village, uplifting everyone on the course. 🎶
Props to main sponsor Associated British Ports and lead charity Mind in Gwent for backing this incredible event. Hats off to Run 4 Wales too, and their team for organising. Can’t wait to do it all again next year on 18th April 2027! Ready for round two? 🚀
