The drama unfolded when, right in the middle of a crucial rally, a stray ball popped out of Struff’s pocket! 🤯 The umpire called for a let, giving Struff a second chance at holding his serve. McEnroe quipped live on air: “If it happens again, Sinner loses the point due to hindrance.” Adding a bit of humour, he imagined Struff thinking, “Oops! I need a break; I might not win this rally!”
Andrew Castle, commentating alongside McEnroe, agreed that it gave Sinner a disadvantage. And while McEnroe backed his claims with comparisons to football’s World Cup, Castle remarked, “Why penalise on the second time, but not the first? It’s affecting the match!”
