As winter sets in, make sure you’re using your fog lights at the right times to avoid a hefty £1,000 fine and three penalty points on your licence! 🌫️👀 According to the DVSA, fog lights should only be used when visibility is less than 100m. However, a recent eBay survey reveals that 60% of drivers are switching them on at the wrong times, and over 10% are using them when visibility is more than 300m. 🤔
And it’s not just fog lights! Headlight misuse is on the rise, with nearly half of drivers admitting to using full beams at night, regardless of oncoming traffic.
