π Courageous Mum’s Battle Against Cancer π

Meet Annie DeβAth from Tunbridge Wells, a vibrant mum-of-two whose world turned upside down after being hit with a devastating diagnosis: pancreatic cancer. What Annie initially brushed off as stress-related loss of appetite soon revealed a much scarier reality that requires life-saving surgery.
Annie’s journey began in January, during a time when she was already dealing with the stress of putting her house on the market. Concerned by her symptoms, Annie’s daughter urged her to see a doctor. Mere weeks later, Annie found herself facing a whirlwind of medical appointments that led to discovering a tumour in her pancreas.

In the face of such adversity, Annie remains resilient. After months of grueling chemotherapy sessions and multiple procedures, hope has appeared on the horizon. Top specialist Professor Markus Buchler in Lisbon believes there’s a surgical solution β a rare chance for a cure. But first, Annie needs further chemotherapy to shrink the tumour to operable levels.

The procedure in Portugal is her best shot, albeit an incredibly pricey one. Colleagues at Sackville School, where Annie’s worked passionately for over 15 years, launched a fundraiser to help cover the Β£25,000 necessary for treatment, travel, and aftercare. So far, their immense efforts have raised Β£17,500.
Annie’s story is a poignant reminder: don’t ignore unusual changes in your body. She candidly shares, βI love eating, and when that changed, it was odd. Listen to your body, and don’t delay getting checked.β
Let’s rally behind Annie and help her seize this crucial opportunity for survival. Every donation, every share, and every supportive word counts. π
