🏉 Former rugby star Matt Dawson had a change of heart about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after tuning into their 2022 Netflix docuseries. Initially sceptical, Dawson confessed he thought it might be another “woe is me” story. But one line from Meghan caught his attention, changing everything. 🙌

In the documentary, Meghan opened up, saying: “The past six years of my life, books are written about our story from people who I don’t know.” She then asked, “Doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?” This simple yet powerful statement made Dawson rethink his views. He realised everyone has a right to their own narrative, especially when the world is watching.

Dawson reflected, “In their environment, where everyone has an opinion on Harry, it made sense to see it from their perspective. It’s not about the deal or their current life; it’s about hearing their story in their own words.” The series gave insights and “little nuggets” that we wouldn’t have known otherwise. 👫

Recognising public curiosity about the Royal Family, Dawson urged us to embrace this peek into their lives. After all, it’s straightforward, direct, and in their voice. 🗣️
The 53-year-old retired rugby hero, known for his accomplishments with Northampton and London Wasps and his impressive international career with England, found himself captivated like many others, broadening his perspective on the iconic couple. 🏆✨
