🚨 Shocking Misconduct Revealed in South Wales Police 🚨

Former Police Constable (PC) Catherine Smith’s actions left the South Wales community stunned as her web of deceit and harassment unfolded. Over two years, Smith bombarded Person A with harassing texts, offensive items, and even false police reports, culminating in a significant abuse of trust. 😡📱

After her arrest in June 2025, Smith tried to dodge accountability by claiming her broadband was hacked and pointing investigators in the wrong direction. 🚔💻 But new evidence caught up with her, and in July, she admitted to the lies and harassment, receiving two conditional cautions for her criminal behaviour.
Following a misconduct hearing, Chief Constable Jeremy Vaughan declared Smith’s actions as “gross misconduct”, adding that she would have faced dismissal had she not resigned. He emphasised that “law enforcers must uphold the law,” putting Smith’s name on the barred list of the College of Policing. 🚫📋
Chief Constable Vaughan’s message is loud and clear: There’s no tolerance for such behaviour in the force, whether on or off duty. The community expects the highest standards and transparency from its officers, and this serves as a reminder of the vital importance of trust and integrity within the police force. 🛡️🔍
The case sends an undeniable message: Trust is essential, and those abusing it will be held accountable. Let’s hope this leads to a stronger, more reliable police force serving the community with honour. 🤞💙 #PoliceIntegrity #CommunityTrust #JusticeServed
