Ever had a shopping nightmare? Imagine waiting a year for a refund, only to discover the store wasn’t even real! That’s what happened to me, thanks to “Harper Manchester”. It was all a scam – a supposedly long-running Manchester store with charming owners, John and Alice Harper, who turned out to be AI creations selling overpriced and poorly made items from China.

I bought a jumper from their fake “closing down sale” last year, and the whole return process was a circus. After sending the jumper back to their “warehouse” in China, I didn’t hear anything until the package reappeared at my doorstep a year later, marked as ‘refused’. No refund, no explanation – just a bounced parcel. 😤

I wasn’t the only one. Many others got trapped in their web of deceit, offered measly partial refunds to avoid the hassle of costly returns. It took some major determination and a dispute with my card provider to get my money back.
It’s a wild world out there, folks. Always double-check those too-good-to-be-true deals and be cautious of what’s behind those Facebook ads. AI and online cons are on the rise, transforming shopping into a potential minefield. Stay savvy and protect your wallets! 💸
