🚨 Drama on the Menai Suspension Bridge! 🚨

Locals were left in shock as a 14-tonne coach almost crossed the historic Menai Suspension Bridge, currently undergoing much-needed repairs. With the usual traffic management out of action due to complaints of worker harassment, it was brave local residents who saved the day!

It all happened when a vigilant walker flagged down the coach just in time, pointing out the 7.5-tonne weight limit. Mike Eyre, a local postman, jumped into action too. He helped the coach driver, who was sincerely apologetic about the mishap, safely turn around before any damage could be done.
The iconic bridge that links Anglesey to Gwynedd has been a centre of controversy due to recurring closures and frustrations over traffic jams. Despite signs galore, drivers continue to test their luck, sometimes resulting in unscheduled, lengthy shutdowns.
Each incident raises questions about current monitoring methods and the future of the bridge post-repairs. Could weight restrictions remain even after the restoration is complete? Locals are calling for better solutions and feel North Wales deserves more attention.
