A pet owner was left horrified after her dog’s trip to the groomers ended in disaster. Tegan Williams took Honey, her Toy Poodle and Bichon Frisé cross, to a local grooming parlour for a simple haircut. But things went terribly wrong. Tegan claims that when Honey returned home, her little dog was visibly shaking. On inspection, she discovered a series of injuries, including a cut nipple which appeared to have been superglued back on with fur added on top! 😱

Tegan was shocked to find a bloodshot eye, a suspiciously solid patch of fur, and a cut on Honey’s leg. This resulted in a rushed vet visit that cost nearly £400. The vet confirmed Honey’s nipple had indeed been glued back on – something no pet owner ever expects to hear!

After confronting the grooming parlour, aptly named Scruffy 2 Fluffy, Tegan managed to get the vet bill reimbursed by the shop owner. Despite the refund, Tegan remains understandably upset. As a loving pet parent, she feels guilty about Honey’s distress, made worse by the impact on her finances.

Tegan shared her story online, garnering many responses from other pet owners who have had similar experiences. This raises concerns about the UK’s largely unregulated dog grooming industry, where anyone can set up shop without formal qualifications. 🐶✂️
The owner of Scruffy 2 Fluffy claims he wasn’t aware of the incident until the complaint was made. He stated the groomer responsible has been let go and emphasised his love for animals. However, for Tegan and Honey, this ordeal is far from over as Honey remains traumatised.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the need to thoroughly vet your pet groomer and raises questions about the regulations governing animal care services. Share your thoughts and experiences below! 🐾💕
