🌳 Litter Chaos in Cardiff Park! 🌳
Residents in the Plasnewydd area are seeing red over the shocking state of Shelley Gardens. Overflowing bins and litter scattered everywhere have left the park looking a mess. This isn’t the first time it’s happened, and locals have had enough!
📸 Snapshots of the rubbish-filled scene were shared on a local Facebook page, sparking a flurry of outraged comments. Resident Angelos Zaimis gave a shout-out to the council and park-goers alike: “The council should clean more frequently and provide larger bins, but people also need to take responsibility and dispose of their rubbish properly.”
Steve Glascoe chimed in, agreeing that while the council could step up its game, the real culprits are those who think it’s okay to leave their litter behind. Andrew Johnston added that some locals need to show more pride in their community: “If the bin is full, take it home or find another bin.”
The council responded, saying teams have already been out to clean up the mess. Good news: They’ve doubled the number of times bins will be emptied each week, and they’ll be keeping an eye on things as summer approaches.
Let’s hope for a cleaner, greener Shelley Gardens soon! 🌿🌞
