🎭✨ Cardiff’s New Theatre is lighting up once again for panto season, and we couldn’t be more excited! This year, the iconic show will see the return of beloved favourites like Owain Wyn Evans, Gethin Jones, and Mike Doyle, ready to whisk you away into the magical world of Sleeping Beauty.
After a successful run with Cinderella last year, Owain is thrilled to be back, especially after a health scare earlier this year. Owain, with his charismatic flair, will step into the role of the Spirit of Pantomime, transforming the stage with his “high camp” performance. He promises plenty of sparkle—yes, there’s even a drum kit involved! 🥁💫
Owain says he’s honoured to bring joy and escape to audiences through panto, especially given its deep roots in the LGBTQIA+ community. He believes in the magic of theatre as a refuge from life’s stresses, offering audiences a space to laugh, gasp, and truly enjoy the moment.
The show promises a dazzling display of glamour, glitz, and a bit of cheeky fun. With dry ice, magic wands, and costumes that shimmer like glitter balls, it’s a treat you won’t want to miss. Owain can’t wait to share this experience with you, saying, “You’re gonna love Sleeping Beauty!”
Running from Saturday, December 6th, 2025, to Sunday, January 4th, 2026, it’s the perfect festive escape. Grab your tickets now and join us for a fantastically fun adventure at the New Theatre! 🎟️✨
