π¨ **Jailed Duo Made Strangers Feel Unsafe in Their Own Homes** π¨

In a shocking turn of events, two men have been sentenced for causing distress after breaking into a stranger’s home in Pontardawe. Liam Bolton, 31, from Treboeth, Swansea, and George Payne, 26, from St Mellons, Cardiff, unlawfully entered a house on Grove Road and stole car keys on February 4. Their misguided heist ended when the car was later found abandoned in Tudor Road, Treboeth.

Bolton, who maintained his innocence, was found guilty and will serve four years behind bars. Meanwhile, Payne initially pleaded not guilty but changed his plea and received a 30-month sentence.

Detective Constable Andy Williams from South Wales Police expressed relief at their incarceration, noting, “Criminals like Liam Bolton and George Payne are the sort of people who make others feel unsafe in their own homes. Knowing strangers have infiltrated your space is extremely distressing. These men showed no regard for anyone but themselves, and itβs reassuring to know they’ve been taken off the streets.”
This incident highlights the importance of community vigilance and staying alert to unfamiliar activity in your neighbourhood.
Stay safe, folks! πͺπ
