🚗💥 **Pensioner Assaulted for Sticking to Speed Limit!** 💥🚗

A routine drive for 69-year-old Christopher Lavis turned into a nightmare when he was brutally attacked in a shocking road rage incident. Following road rules seemed to be his only “crime” as he adhered to the 20mph speed limit in Brynmenyn, Bridgend, only to be met with violence.

The terrifying ordeal unfolded when Christopher Shaw, 40, leapt from his van in anger and assaulted Mr Lavis while his wife sat helplessly in the passenger seat. The vicious attack left Mr Lavis with severe injuries, including a broken nose, a fractured cheekbone, and ongoing dizziness. He was forced to postpone a crucial cardiac exam and is now dependent on a walking stick for balance.

Shaw initially claimed self-defence but later admitted to causing actual bodily harm. Despite having prior offences, he received a 12-month suspended sentence. His roofing business was cited as a factor in avoiding jail time, a decision Mr Lavis strongly criticised.
This horrific encounter, provoked by Mr Lavis’ simple act of courtesy, has altered his life dramatically. “Before the incident, I had no issues. Now, I struggle with my balance and haven’t driven since,” he said.
Mr Lavis’ wife describes the ordeal as “deeply traumatic,” recalling the moment her husband began bleeding heavily after being struck. The distressing event serves as a chilling reminder of the volatility on our roads.
